Bear baits in Coldwater, Ontario

We just can't resist.  After reading the stories about the Bear activity in the Coldwater area we had to plan something!
We have scouted a great camp location that can accommodate our tent and gear.  These Bear hunts are on Crown Land near Coldwater Ontario and is a hotspot for Bears!!
We are planning on hunting this area between Sept 24 - Oct 15.

The camp has a 8' X 16' army tent equipped with wood floor, 12V power, inverter, two cotts, wood stove, camp kitchen, propane barbeque, table and chairs. The tent can be extended to 16' X 16' or 16' X 24' to accommodate more people if required.

Updates

Oct 03:

Been out at the stands the last few days and have seen a good number of Bears.  Hunted one of the stands myself Friday evening and had a couple of Bears come in.  Almost decided to take one but it was too small.  150 - 175 Lbs.  We spent most of the day Saturday scouting deep in the bush and where very happy with what we saw.  Game everywhere....wow.
We have set a few stink baits around some monster game trails we found and set out the cameras.  We are planning to let it sit for 48 hrs and see what we get.

Sept 27:
Out at the baits today and got alot of pictures.  There is a nice Bear coming in late afternoon.  I decided to sit out tonight and get a first hand look.  At around 5:30 pm I heard a few twiggs snap and there it was.  It walked down the hill across the pond from where I was sitting.  Nice Bear, shooter for sure.

Sept 17:
Sorry for the delay.  Had bad luck last week.  Checked the baits today and they where all cleaned out!!  Have a few pictures but the bears seemed to take an interest in the camera.....ooops.  Well we found the camera and SD card.  Shy of a few bite marks it still works fine!  nice one Bushnell!!!  I have re loaded the baits and will start loading every day at some point this week.   Back in camp tomorrow and will post an update.
*The new location (where the pictures where taken) is perfect.  Located right beside water,  cover and great wind....

Sept 11 :
Checked the baits today and had one of the two get cleaned out.   We decided to keep this location and set up a more permanent bait station near by . Located at the bottom of a ridge (20' ish) the elivated shooting position should provide at least three good shooting lanes. We have relocated the trail cam to this position.
The second bait had no activity however there is sign in the area.  We relocated the bait and will continue to monitor  it closely.

I was very disapointed with the dark pictures we had from the bait with activity.  My fault, there was too much vegitation between the IR flash and the bait.  The IR flash  reflects brightly on the plants and all in the background is dark and shadowy.  We made sure to remove all twigs, plants saplings ect away from the new location.

This was the clearest image i could get.  You can see the snout and reflection in the bears left eye.   I have cropped out the bright white vegitation you can see in the bottom left corner.  We'll do better on Tuesday.
